The National Children's Museum, Britain's award winning 'first and foremost' hands on museum for children which boasts 400 must touch-exhibits.

Calderdale's museums, Walkleys Clogs, the last remaining clog factory located in Mytholmroyd and Todmorden Toy Museum offer you the chance to relive your childhood, too. Eco-adventure at our Wildside countryside events throughout the year including kitemaking and stream dipping, spend a day at the popular Jerusalem Farm nature reserve or discover the Jungle Experience at Manor Heath Park with creatures and plants in a tropical setting. Unpack a picnic in one of the many parks and gardens, and enjoy an afternoon of fun, games and concerts in the summer. The People's Park, Halifax is the finest surviving work of landscape architect Joseph Paxton, whilst at Shibden Estate: the gardens, a play area, miniature railway, boating lake and visitor centre have been restored thanks to a multi-million pound Heritage Lottery Grant.
